Official launch of commemorative stamps marking 40 years of strong diplomatic ties

We recently celebrated 40 years of enduring friendship and diplomatic relations between Singapore and Brunei Darussalam with the unveiling of a special joint stamp issue!

We were honoured to have Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah unveil this commemorative stamp set, showcasing beautiful symbols of our bond:

Dendrobium Hassanal Saleha orchid: Named in honor of the Sultan and Raja Isteri during the Sultan’s State Visit to Singapore in 2022.

Ficus elastica: Planted by President Tharman during his inaugural State Visit to Brunei Darussalam in 2024.

We were also pleased to have Shahrin Abdol Salam, our CEO Singapore, present at this significant event, reflecting our commitment to fostering strong ties through collaborative initiatives.

This remarkable stamp issue, a collaboration between Singapore Post and Postal Services Department, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, Brunei Darussalam, beautifully captures the close ties and mutual respect between our two countries.
