Overview

The series was commissioned to mark the extension of the Singapore International Airport at Paya Lebar with the completion of the the Airport Terminal building. It now served 28 international airlines including the national carrier, the Singapore Airlines.

While the 10-cents stamps depicted the different international airlines that flew to the airport, the 35-cents stamp shows the destinations Singapore Airlines operates in. The 75-cent stamp shows the Singapore Airlines logo on the stylied tail of a Boeing jet, while the 1-dollar stamp shows how Singapore Airlines encircles the globe.
