Overview
The kind, clever and elegant Rabbit, fourth in the Zodiac Cycle, starts off yet another New Year on the Chinese zodiac calendar in 2011. Three graphic illustrations of this gentle Rabbit ushering in the new Lunar Year 2011 are shown in this set stamps of 1st Local, 65¢ and $1.10.
Being the fourth of the 12 animal signs, those born in the year of the Rabbit are often said to possess character traits such as kind, clever and elegant. Rabbits are tranquil individuals who are generally calm and do not exhibit aggressive behaviour, avoiding confrontations whenever possible. They are also sentimental and compassionate.
They usually undertake nothing before they have weighed the pros and cons from every angle.
As they are kind, loving persons, and dislike any hostile acts, they give others an impression of being frail-looking because of their gentle appearance. But, in fact they are strong-minded and have strong wills. They pursue their ideals all their lives in a precise and orderly way. They do things slowly and deliberately because of their cautious characters and that is probably why rabbit people are doing well in their work. Unless they abandon their conservative nature, and become more aggressive, they will probably live a normal and average life.
Famous personalities born in the Rabbit year include Henry Miller, Albert Einstein, Tina Turner, Fidel Castro, Queen Victoria and Edith Piaf.
