Singapore Philatelic Bureau is delighted to inform collectors that The 1990 Collection of Singapore Stamps publication has won a Gold Medal in the Best Designed Book Competition 1991.
Over 20 publishers submitted their works to vie for awards under 6 different categories. The 1990 Collection shone out in the General Books - Adults Category. Organised annually by the Festival of Books Singapore in conjunction with the Singapore Book Fair, the competition is to give recognition to outstanding publications.
This is the Philatelic Bureau's first entry for a competition of this nature since the launch of the new-look publication last year. The publication was designed by Sylvia Tan and printed by Wah Mee Press Pte Ltd.
Collectors who wish to buy additional copies of this publication can do so at the usual sales outlets. Each publication will have a special leaflet printed in gold and royal blue to match the cover of the publication. The leaflet is your certificate that the publication is an award-winning work of art!
