The much awaited World Stamp Championship 2004 in Singapore came to an end on 1 September 2004. The five-day event was a success, with about 120,000 visitors from Singapore and around the world.
The first World Stamp Champion has been crowned. He is Mr Surajit Gongvatana of Thailand.
The five days were packed with activities for collectors and the general public, from the young to the young at heart. Visitors enjoyed the wide selection of stamps from around the world, the informative Galleries and exhibits on stamps and subjects connected to stamps and the many interactive activities held throughout the event.
