When the threat of COVID-19 emerged in Singapore, the Ministry of Education created the Soaper 5 – a band of young superheroes, who would guide our students in keeping themselves and their friends safe and healthy.

The Soaper 5 champion responsible behaviour that all can adopt – hand-washing, wearing a mask, not touching your face, wiping down surfaces and seeing a doctor when sick. During the Circuit Breaker, they also reminded their friends to stay home and learn safely!

In this unusual school year, the Soaper 5 are a symbol of how everyone, even our youngest, can play a part in the fight against COVID-19.

This set of stamps honours all teachers and staff, who went out of their way to keep students safe and learning during this time.
