Overview
This set of special postage stamps was issued on 9th August 1967 to commemorate the National Day of the Republic of Singapore.
The commemorative issue will consist of three denominations of 6 cent, 15 cent and 50 cent values in different colours.
The stamps have a common design depicting a group of flag-bearing marchers and each denomination carries a caption "Build a vigorous Singapore" in two languages as follows:-
6 cent- Chinese and English 15 cent- Malay and English 50 cent- Tamil and English
The stamps are printed in size 43 mm x 28 mm in a horizontal format and in colour photogravure process by Messrs. Thomas De La Rue & Co., Ltd.
