Overview
Chinatown, Kampong Glam, Little India and Orchard Road - these are more than leading tourist attractions in Singapore. They're the landmarks - the places that best define Singapore to the millions of tourists who visit the country each year. Bringing to life the multi-cultural history, character and dynamism of Singapore, they also provide an ideal theme for this stamp issue commemorating Singapore's National Day 2007.
This set of stamps depicting these popular Singapore tourist locations is wonderfully illustrated by renown local watercolour artist, Ong Kim Seng. The set of four stamps features Chinatown [ 1st Local ], Kampong Glam [ 65c ], Little India [ 80c ] and Orchard Road [ $1.10 ] while the Miniature Sheet depicts the majestic Merlion [ $5 ] against the scenic Marina Bay and the Esplanade in the background. All first day covers for this issue will be cancelled with the NPD07 logo.
