Overview
Singapore is home to at least 26 species belonging to the Ginger order. As most of the native gingers are rare, the National Parks Board NParks) has been actively engaged in conservation of these plants for more than a decade to ensure these species will be sustained in for generations to come. Showcasing Singapore's natural heritage, the four native species featured this stamp issue are Zingiber singapurense, Cheilocostus globosus, Phrynium hirtuт and Conaтoтит хаnthophlebium.
