Singpex '98

Coinciding with the National Education Exhibition, SINGPEX'98 will be held from 23 - 26 July 1998 at the SUNTEC International Convention and Exhibition Centre. With the patronage of Federation of Inter Asian Philately (FIAP), this philatelic event will showcase some 800 frames of exhibits from various countries. Foreign postal administrations and international stamp dealers will be participating in this exhibition.

Among the highlights of this exhibition will be special exhibits from the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists (RDP) Collections, to be seen for the first time in Singapore. Children can participate in exciting activities such as art design competitions, story telling, and talks on our favourite past times. There will be prizes for kids, too! There will also be FREE booklets for children to paste and fill up with the different countries' stamps they collect at SINGPEX'98!

Complimentary daily event datestamp cancellations are also available to commemorate the exhibition.

To commemorate SINGPEX'98, limited exhibition souvenir sheets incorporating the Singapore Story stamps will be released on 23 July 98. These souvenir sheets which are treated with a special UV varnish to enhance the design will be sold by the organisers at S$7 each.

The souvenir sheets will be sold at the exhibition and at the 10 philatelic branches during the period of the exhibition, whilst stocks last. A special order form for this souvenir sheet has also been enclosed with this issue of Miniature World for the convenience of customers wishing to order by post.

In addition, visitors to SINGPEX'98 can purchase both the newly released 3rd Edition of The Collectors' Guide to Singapore Stamps and Postal Stationery and the exhibition souvenir sheet at S$20 as a special package. This offer is valid only at SINGPEX'98.
