The Singapore National Stamp Exhibition - SINGPEX - for 2002 is right around the corner. This year, the exhibition and a stamp fair will be held at Hotel New Otani from 26 to 28 July. Stamp enthusiasts can expect the participation of more than 10 foreign dealers at the stamp fair.
Apart from promising displays from the adult and youth categories, visitors can check out the group entries entered by school students on varied subjects. Expect up to 40 frames of exciting stamp display from the group category alone on diverse themes from religion to history to sports. Additional exhibits from the exhibition will be displayed at the Singapore Philatelic Museum from 26 July to 1 September 2002.
To commemorate the exhibition, SingPost is producing a stamp souvenir using the MyStamp sheet with the Greetings design. The MyStamp carrying the event title will have the SINGPEX'02 logo printed on the 20 tabs attached to the stamps.
SINGPEX is jointly organised by Association of Singapore Philatelists and Singapore Stamp Club, and supported by SingPost.
