Overview

On 16 Nov 94, a new definitive stamp will be released. It is part of the existing Corals and Reef Life Series.

The new stamp will be without a printed postage value but each stamp can be used on mail up to the basic weight-step and is valued at the prevailing postage for this weight-step which is currently 20¢. These stamps are valid for local mail only.

The stamp will be available in both gummed back sheets and self-adhesive stamp booklets. The stamp design features the blue-spotted stingray. It is the most common sting ray in coral reefs. The design had been reproduced from slide with computer modifications to make it suitable for a stamp design.
