In today’s interconnected world of instant messaging, it is hard to imagine going about our daily routines without a smartphone in hand. But at a time long before the invention of Alexander Graham Bell’s box telephone, sending a hand-written note or a letter was the only viable mode of communication. Inspired by isometric art and drawing, this stamp issue depicts the transformation of Singapore’s postal services over the course of its history; from the colonial days to nationhood, and to becoming a global city it is today.
