There is probably no better way to look into the future than through the eyes, hearts and minds of children. Singapore Post participated in a worldwide youth stamp design project inviting children from age groups 8 to 12 years old to express their visions of the future on drawings in 1998. The four winning drawings by Gwendolyn Soh, Dawn Koh, Shaun Yew Chuan Bin and Liu Jiang Wen were adapted into a set of four stamp designs.

The winners each received a pair of tickets and hotel accommodation sponsored by Singapore Airlines to attend the World Kids Congress at the World Stamp Expo 2000 in California, USA where the stamps will be launched.

Singapore Post will participate in the World Stamp Expo 2000 to be held at The Anaheim Convention Center, California, USA from 7 to 16 Jul 2000. It will be a spectacular international stamp exhibition with 150 postal administrations plus more than 200 dealers taking up the sales booths. The overall theme of the show is space achievement and exploration. An exhibition souvenir sheet incorporating the four stamps will also be released to commemorate this event.
