Overview
Before the introduction of biscuits from brands such as Arnotts and Julie's, biscuits can be bought from the local provision shop often kept in big tin containers or at coee shop in clear airtight glass containers. These are given to children as snack or eaten during tea time. During celebrations, lovingly home baked traditional biscuits or cookies will be served to family and friends.
In this set of stamps, some of these traditional biscuits are featured - Almond biscuit, Muruku, kueh bangkit, kueh makmur, gem biscuit and cream cracker - bringing back the nostalgic feeling of our childhood days or the warm and wonderful feeling of our rich heritage.
