Overview
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) was formed on 8 August 1967 as a show of unity among the countries in the region.
Today, ASEAN is a vibrant organisation and it continues to advance its development in the fields of political, economic, functional and external relations.
The stamp issue is released to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of ASEAN. This set of stamps comprises four denominations : NVI, 35c, 60c and $1. The stamps are uniquely designed and features ASEAN's 30 years of co-operation, its culture, communication technology and tourist attractions. The special inverted-dome stamp format symbolises the geographical location of Southeast Asia and gives a variation to the conventional rectangular stamp format.
Released with this set of beautifully shaped stamps are four maxicards which has images of similar designs to complement the stamps.
