Overview
In this stamp issue, one of our native endangered animal, the Oriental Small-clawed Otter (Anoyx cinerea), artistically drawn by an internationally recognised local Asiatainment artiste, Mr Edmund Chen Zhi Cai, is featured.
Although they are rare in Singapore, but it has been recorded that they are being found at the north-western coast of Singapore Island, the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, Pulau Ubin and Pulau Tekong. The Oriental Small-clawed Otter is regarded as vulnerable by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) in its Red List of Threatened Species.
Hence, let us do our part in saving the very Earth that we all lived in, and together with it, our biodiversity.
