Overview

The Annual Meetings of the Board of Governors of the International Monetary Fund [IMF] and the World Bank Group will be held in Singapore in September 2006. This is of significance for Asia as it will be the first Annual Meetings in the region since 1997. It is also part of Singapore 2006, which is a series of large-scale international events including the Singapore Biennale to be held in the course of September 2006.

To commemorate all these significant events, 5 stamps from this issue mark the Annual Meetings of the Board of Governors of the IMF and the World Bank Group while the striking $2 "graffiti-like" stamp commemorates the Singapore Biennale.
