The Singapore London 1980 International Stamp Exhibition commemorative stamps were issued to celebrate the global philatelic event held in London. This special issue is a classic example of "stamps-on-stamps" design and is highly recognisable among the Commonwealth collectors. Stamp designs featured on this stamp issue includes - Straits Settlements 1867 12¢ stamp against Old Singapore map (10¢), Straits Settlements King Edward VII $500 stamp against Johore Treaty (35¢), King George VI $2 stamp against Malay Archipelago map ($1) and 150th Anniversary of Founding Singapore $10 stamp against Raffles’ Letter ($2).
