Overview
The Singapore Indoor Stadium heralds for the people of Singapore an era of sports and cultural entertainment staged in a modern and sophisticated facility. It is a symbol of the quality of life in Singapore. The stamps reflect some of the special and distinctive features of the Stadium: its diamond-shaped, concave space frame roof, the grandeur of its entrance and its fixed, retractable and movable seats which can accommodate up to 11,870 spectators. On 31 Dec 1989, the Stadium will be officially opened in conjunction with the launching of the 25th Anniversary Celebration of Singapore.
