Overview
The 7th SEAP Games Commemorative Issue was released by Singapore's Postal Services Department on 1 September 1973 to mark the first time Singapore hosted the South East Asian Peninsular (SEAP) Games. The stamps artfully capture the sporting events featured in the games either visually through pictograms or in words with the $1 denomination stamp prominently featuring an illustration of the newly constructed National Stadium, which served as the centerpiece venue for the 1973 games. The backgrounds are intentionally hued in gold, silver, and bronze to represent the athletic medals the competitors were chasing.
