The Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) once again return to Singapore in 2015, after a 22-year long hiatus. The 28th SEA Games will be held from 5 -16 June 2015, with Singapore Sports Hub as the main venue for the Games. Organised by the Singapore Southeast Asian Games Organising Committee (SINGSOC), the Games is held in conjunction with Singapore’s 50th anniversary and will host more than 7,000 athletes and ocials from 36 sports. Adopting the theme of Celebrate the Extraordinary, the Games is about connecting individuals, communities and countries to their dreams. It’s beyond competing, winning or even overcoming defeat. So that ultimately, we all realise that success comes to ordinary people with extraordinary dreams.

The 28th SEA Games mascot is non other than Nila, our Sporting Singapore mascot. Nila – the name nd its roots from Sang Nila Utama, the founder of Singapura. With a bundle of positive energy, NIla’s Courage is matched only by his ability to charge up the crowd. With his ery red mane, he symbolises the burning Passion for all things sport. His heart-shaped face represents Friendship, where bonds are created through competition and the love of the game. Nila is all ready to unleash the force of his infectious personality to bring out the cheer in everyone during the 28th SEA Games.
