Singapore will host the 8th ASEAN Para Games, a history in the making as it will be the first time Singapore hosts the ASEAN Para Games and a multi-sports events for the persons with disabilities of this scale. There will be 15 sports in the 8th ASEAN Para Games, which more than just a competition of fitness, it is also a display of the power of sports to strengthen character, uplift the spirits, and bond the community. The ASEAN Para Games will serve as a platform for enhancing inclusiveness, encouraging all people to embrace sports, as well as promoting ASEAN solidarity.

The 8th ASEAN Para Games will be held from 3 to 9 December 2015, and will wrap up Singapore’s 50th birthday celebrations. The seven-day multi-sport event will have their competition venues mainly at the Singapore Sports Hub and Kallang areas.

To mark the finale of a major year for Singapore sports, and to commemorate this meaningful and significant sports event, the 8th ASEAN Para Games stamp issue is released.
