Marine fishes have captivated many of us since our first visit to the public aquarium. Watching the marine fishes darting in and out the coral reefs, a kaleidoscope of colours, one can only be enthralled with the wonders of the sea.

On 24 October 2001, four families of marine fishes - Marine Angelfishes, Moorish Idols, Butterflyfishes and Surgeonfishes or Tangs - will be beautifully illustrated in this set of definitive stamps. Carrying the face value of 5c, 20c, NVI (no-value indicator), 30c, 40c, 50c, 60c, 70c and 80c, these fishes will soon appear on our letters.

This set of stamps is the next definitive stamp issue after the Land Transportation stamps that were released in 1997.
