Singapore and Egypt enjoy warm and friendly ties since the establishment of bilateral relations on 28 November 1966, a year after the independence of Singapore in August 1965. The two countries managed to hold successful coordination in international fora, and their positions coincided on many issues. That was most evident after Egypt helped Singapore to join the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), which served as a main source of support to the independence of Singapore then.

Singapore-Japan Joint Stamp Issue

At the heart of this commemorative set are two iconic national symbols: the Cherry Blossom of Japan and the Vanda Miss Joaquim, national flower of Singapore.

To commemorate and celebrate the warmth and close ties between the two countries, Singapore Post and Postal Services Department, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, Brunei Darussalam have collaborated to release Singapore-Brunei Darussalam Joint Stamp Issue. Featured in this joint stamp issue are Dendrobium Hassanal Saleha orchid named after the Sultan and Raja Isteri during the Sultan's State Visit to Singapore in 2022 and Ficus elastica was planted by President Tharman on his first overseas State Visit to Brunei Darussalam in 2024.

On World Post Day - 9 Oct 97, Singapore and Thailand will jointly release a set of four stamps on Shells. The four denominations for the Singapore stamps are : the No-Value Indicator, 35c, 60c and $1.
