Overview

The Singapore Arts Festival is an annual celebration of artistic innovation and cultural diversity, showcasing extraordinary productions by Singapore, Asian and other international performing artists. The Festival entertains, challenges and inspires all audiences with the best of classical and contemporary works.

In conjunction with the Festival, a se-tenant block of four stamps will be released on 16 May 2001. The stamp designs show colourful and vibrant graphic depiction of the word "ARTS". Inside each alphabet are playful hints of the elements of the Festival.

This year's Singapore Arts Festival will be held from 31 May to 24 June. It will both enchant and challenge with a gamut of the great classics alongside an explosion of experimental music, dance and theatre.
