Traditional Games

Issue date 21 Feb 1997

Overview

Remember the good old Kampong days, when life was slow and carefree.

In the child's eyes, life was all play. Everyday activity revolves around playing and making games, sharing the fun with friends.

Simple games like shuttlecock, marbles, tops and five stones offered the children of yesteryears many hours of fun and enjoyment.

Four special stamps were released to capture the moments of fun, each showing a child playing one kind of game. The stamps will be issued on 21 Feb 97 in conjunction with Singpex '97 to be held from 21 - 23 Feb 97. An exhibition souvenir sheet will be released for this issue.
