On 1st April 1964, the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA) was formed to replace the former Singapore Harbour Board. The PSA, a statutory board under the Ministry of Communications and Information, is responsible for providing and maintaining efficient and adequate port services and facilities in Singapore.
