A set of four stamps featuring the conserved areas of Chinatown, Kampong Glam, Little India and the Civic District will be released on 17 Jan 96.
Since the 1970s, efforts have been made to lay the framework for conservation in Singapore and setting aside some of the most unique and intact historic areas for conservation.
The designs feature buildings in Bukit Pasoh in Chinatown, Dalhousie Lane in Little India, Jalan Sultan in Kampong Glam and Supreme Court in the Civic District.
