Overview

The Productivity Movement in Singapore is an ongoing national programme. The aim is to increase productivity in all sectors of the economy and to spread the productivity message to the entire population.

The themes selected for this Special Stamp Issue are:

- Productivity is Everybody's Business

- Sharing the Benefits of Productivity

- Teamwork (QCC) towards Higher Productivity

The 10 cents denomination stamp depicts typographically the attributes and activities which are part and parcel of the Prоductivity Movement, viz Quality & Reliability, Quality Control Circles, and Good Human Relations.

The 3 themes are depicted pictorially in the 35 cents, 50 cents and 75 cents denominations.

The 35 cents stamp depicts the benefits of productivity as exemplified by good housing, clean environment and a happy family

The 50 cents denomination shows a QC Circle meeting, which is a small group activity involving all levels of staff within the same department.

The 75 cents denomination shows that the Productivity Movement needs everybody's participation - in other words, Productivity is Everybody's Business.
