Since the establishment of diplomatic ties between Korea and Singapore in 1975, the two countries have been maintaining close cooperative relations in many areas including politics, economy and culture. In this joint issue between Singapore and Korea, the elaborate and beautiful wedding costumes of both countries are featured.

This set of eight stamps, beautifully illustrated by Korean artist University Professor Yun Yeo-whan depicts the traditional wedding attire worn by the Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasian races in Singapore, and four sets of costumes worn during Korea’s Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910).
