Dinosaurs on Automated Teller Machines (ATM) stamp sheetlet

ANIMALS THAT ONCE RULED THE EARTH

A new ATM stamp sheets on Dinosaurs, will replace the existing Palm Tree design. The ATM stamp sheetlet was introduced in 1993 and is dispensed at selected OCBC ATMs. It is a self-adhesive stamp sheetlet which comprises 15 No-Value Indicator (NVI) stamps and has the same size and thickness as a Singapore $50 note. The current face value of each sheetlet is $3.30.

Dinosaurs are probably the best-known prehistoric life. They lived 230 million years ago. Though dinosaurs ruled the Earth long before our time, people of today are still very fascinated by their stories and legends. Three dinosaurs from different periods and family groups are depicted. They are: the Apatosaurus ("deceptive lizard"), the Albertosaurus ("Alberta lizards") and the Pentaceratops ("five-horned face"). All except Albertosaurus are plant-eaters.

OWN THEM BEFORE THEY BECOME EXTINCT

The Dinosaur ATM stamp sheets will be issued on 22 April 98. Stamp sheetlets and pre-cancelled first day covers (which has three stamps affixed on the cover) will be on sale at all SingPost branches on the first day of issue. The stamp sheetlets will also be available at selected OCBC ATMs, which has display templates to indicate that the machine dispenses the new sheetlets.
