The bilateral relations between Singapore and Oman are a vibrant tapestry woven with trade, diplomacy, and cultural exchange. Diplomatic ties were officially established on 21 February 1985. marking the start of a strong and collaborative partnership between the two countries. To commemorate and celebrate our deep-rooted ties, Singapore Post and Oman Post have partnered to release the Singapore-Oman Joint Stamp Issue. The stamp features Muscat Street in Singapore’s Kampong Glam district, reflecting both Singapore’s heritage and its connection with Oman, blending Omani history, culture, and art. Muscat Street embodies the deep historical connections between Singapore and Oman, marked by rich cultural, commercial, and diplomatic relations. This enduring relationship continues to flourish, exemplifying mutual progress, trust, and shared aspirations in a dynamic global landscape.

Singapore and India enjoy excellent bilateral relationships with each other with frequent and active interaction through different platforms that allow both countries to exchange views on many issues of common concerns. The cooperation covers multiple areas in economic, commercial and also culture. These collaborations have been fruitful and beneficial for both countries and the ties of both countries continue to grow from strength to strength over the years.

Singapore's approach to development recognises a need to protect the best elements of the past. Many of our historic buildings and houses serve as Singapore's historical landmarks as well as a reminder of our social history. In this joint issue with Belgium, we look at shophouses in both countries giving a unique view of the different historical architecture in both countries.

Singapore and Japan enjoy excellent and multi-faceted relations. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1966, Japan and Singapore have deepened and strengthen their co-operations not only in economic areas but also in political, cultural and other areas as well. This year 2006 marks the 40th anniversary of this strong partnership.

As close neighbouring countries, Singapore and Indonesia enjoy warm and friendly ties and are each other's major trading partners. Ministers and officials from both countries also work closely together bilaterally, as well as at regional and international fora, such as ASEAN, to pursue common interests. Singapore has become a prosperous economic crossroads, bolstered by its rapid technical industrialisation and its strategically-located commerce port at the door to Asia. As a major producer and consumer of fashion, Singapore has gain position as a fashion capital in Asia and is continuously promoting the creativity of young local talent. This joint stamp issue depicts the fashion scenes of France and the cultural fashion of Singapore.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Philippines, a significant milestone that both countries have built. Over the years, Singapore and Philippines enjoy a close and warm relationship with good collaborations. To commemorate and celebrate the close bilateral ties of both countries, Singapore Post and Philpos jointly release a joint stamp issue, featuring butterflies of both countries.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Hungary, a significant milestone that both countries have built. Over the years, Singapore and Hungary’s relations have grown from strength to strength with both countries continuing to have warm relationship with good collaborations. To commemorate and celebrate the close bilateral ties of both countries, Singapore Post and Magyar Posta have collaborated to release this joint stamp issue. The theme for this joint stamp issue is “Bridges”. Featured in this joint stamp issue are the Cavenagh Bridge of Singapore and Széchenyi Chain Bridge of Budapest, Hungary.

Since the establishment of diplomatic ties between Korea and Singapore in 1975, the two countries have been maintaining close cooperative relations in many areas including politics, economy and culture. In this joint issue between Singapore and Korea, the elaborate and beautiful wedding costumes of both countries are featured.

Brunei Darussalam and Singapore have excellent relations and a strong historical bond. As small countries, we share many common perspectives. Bilaterally and in ASEAN, we co-operate extensively in a wide range of areas including defence, finance, trade, investment, tourism, health and education to promote our common interests. For instance, our Armed Forces train together, while our teachers and students benefit from school twinning programmes and cultural exchanges. Bilateral trade has grown steadily over the years, and there is a regular exchange of visits between our leaders, ministers and officials.

The relations of Singapore and Portugal continue to grow from strength to strength with active partnerships with one another over the years. To celebrate and foster the strong ties between Singapore and Portugal, Singapore Post and Portugal Post jointly release the Singapore-Portugal joint stamp issue. Featuring in this stamp issue are the artistic impressions of Lisbon and Gardens by the Bay.
